This was given as a Gift Certificate by the donor to a relative. I was so happy to paint his sweet face and the owner got it and said, "Oh, my, she really captured him!" Yay.

This was both fun and a challenge. Greens are something I'm learning to paint. Last January I moved to a house situated in the middle of a 275 acre tree nursery and it has given me the advantage of spending time on the deck just looking at "green trees". Do you know how many greens there are? And did you know "Blue Spruce" is actually a slight lavender tint? I know it sounds weird but I look at trees now and think  - "hmmmm, olive with a touch of ultramarine blue", or "just a pinch of cadmium red in that one".  Art geek.
