Autumn Walk

Autumn Walk
11x14 Acrylic on Gallery Wrap Canvas

Painted as part of a challenge in a painting group I belong to. A reference photo is chosen and everyone 'makes it their own'. The photo had no people in it but I felt it needed a 'story', so the girl and her dog was my choice.  I have a lot of fun painting the leaves in multiple layers of color, which unfortunately does not so up as rich as it looks in person.

Sunshine!

Sunshine!
8x10 Acrylics on Sintra Panel

SOLD

What attracted me to this set up was the light patterns coming through the crocheted curtain, through the leaves, through the window. So many people have left comments on my FB page that it makes them happy, too.

Pink Hydrangeas - SOLD

Cheeseburgers: So Bad, So Good

So Bad, So Good
5x7 Acrylic on Panel

When I'm on a diet, I am compelled to paint food. Doesn't taste as good, but better for me.

Red-Headed Flower Girls

Red-Headed Flower Girls
6x6 Acrylic on Panel
$30.00

This is a reference photo from PMP-art.com that I have always loved.
Rosalind Amorin is the the photographer who captured such a sweet moment.
The girls in the photo are blond, but I'm partial to red-heads.

Ruefus, the Wire Haired Dachsund

Ruefus, Head Shot
6x6 Acrylic on Panel, Commission

Ruefus, Dreaming of Oregon
9x12 Acrylic on Canvas, Commission

Ruefus was a commission for a woman who is from Oregon, now lives in Arizona and misses Oregon.  I love Doxies so this was big fun to paint. I had a smooth haired Doxie when I was growing up and painting this brought back memories of when she'd run away and we'd have to chase her all over the neighborhood, coaxing her home with hot dogs.
